Visiting Scholar Program
As a University Transportation Center, OTREC supports professional development by transferring research into practice. Key to this goal is the visiting scholars program, which brings experts to Oregon to share their research and experience. Many of these scholars participate in Portland State University’s Transportation Seminar Series. Below are the names of past and future visiting scholars along with the archived video of their seminars, if available. OTREC welcomes suggestions for future participants in this program; please contact OTREC’s education and technology transfer program manager, Jon Makler, at 503-725-2842.
